The 93 km pipeline will transport gas from Natural Gas Hub 3, located in Paulinia, to towns in the southern area of the state, and has a capacity of 5 MMcm/d of gas.

Natural Gas Hub 3 interconnects the Paulinia – Jacutinga and Gascar gas pipelines as well as the Southern, Northern and Replan – Guararema sections of the Gaspol gas pipeline, which brings gas to Brazil from Bolivia. The hub is also supplied with gas from the Espirto Santo, and Campos basins, as well as LNG from Guanabara Bay.

Petrobras Director for Gas and Energy Graca Forster said the flexibility of supply for the Paulinia – Jacutinga Pipeline allowed the company to respond to increases in consumption.
