The Brazilian Development Bank has approved a bridge loan of approximately $US960 million for Logum Logistica to implement an ethanol pipeline and to install product collection centres.

NOVA Chemicals has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Hess Corporation and Mistral Energy to purchase and transport ethane produced at Hess’ Tioga Gas Plant in North Dakota, USA, via a proposed 700 km pipeline to Alberta, Canada.

MarkWest Liberty will construct a 72 km pipeline from its existing ethane processing plant located in Houston, Pennsylvania, to an interconnection with an existing Sunoco Logistics pipeline at Delmont, Pennsylvania, United States.
