Tue, 6 July 2010
Engineering and surveying work has commenced for a new petroleum product pipeline to be constructed from the Yuzhno-Balyksky Gas Processing Complex to Sibur’s Tobolsk-Neftekhim natural gas liquids (NGL) processing plant, in Tobolsk, Tyumen Region, Promzona, Russia.
The total length of the pipeline is likely to exceed 400 km and it is anticipated to have a capacity of 7 MMt/a of raw petrochemicals.
The proposed pipeline will enable an increased volume of raw petrochemicals to be transported from the Yuzhno-Balyksky Gas Processing Complex to accommodate significant growth in Sibur’s gas processing activities.
Russian company OJSC is carrying out the engineering and surveillance work for the pipeline.
