Eleven sections of the transmission pipeline are being constructed simultaneously and the pipeline will have a total length of approximately 1,800 km when construction is completed.

The pipeline, which will be connected to a gas pipeline from the Republic of Yakutia, will supply gas to consumers of the Khabarovsk and Primorsky Krais, the Jewish Autonomous Oblast and the Sakhalin Oblast.

Gazprom expects the Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok pipeline to deliver first gas by 2011.
