International pipeline equipment manufacturer GE Oil & Gas and Al Shaheen Energy Services, a subsidiary of Qatar Petroleum, have signed a joint venture agreement, establishing the Al Shaheen GE Services Company.
This company will perform aftermarket services for the GE Oil & Gas installed fleet in Qatar, including turbine, compressor and related auxiliary equipment services.
Earlier this year, Al Shaheen became a 50 per cent strategic partner in GE's Pll Pipeline Solutions business, which will now establish a dedicated Integrity and Inspection centre in Qatar.
GE Oil & Gas President and CEO Claudi Santiago said “These partnership agreements reflect GE’s long-standing presence in Qatar and strengthen our long term commitment to the Middle East.”
