After showing interest in the 1,670 km Mehsana – Bhatinda, the 1,680 km Surat – Paradip and the 740 km Bhatinda – Jammu – Srinagar pipeline projects, GSPL has recently submitted an EOI to India’s Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to lay 1,585 km of pipeline, which will extend from Mallavaram to Bhilwara, via Vijaipur.

Bid-cum-application forms for the Mehsana – Bhatinda pipeline have been purchased by six companies, including GAIL, GSPL, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Engineers India, Essar Projects and Nagarjuna Constructions.

For the Bhatinda – Jammu – Srinagar section, GAIL, L&T and GSPL have purchased the bid documents.

A recent Delhi High Court ruling reassigned the power to grant gas licenses away from the PNGRB, which may affect the bidding process for these pipeline projects.
