Millenium Pipeline Company seeks shippers for Marcellus to Manhattan link

Millenium Pipeline Company will hold a binding open season to secure firm transportation capacity commencing 1 November 2013 to support expansion of its interstate gas pipeline, which ships gas from Marcellus Shale production areas to Manhattan markets in New York, United States.
The open season will run from 25 January to 12 February 2010 for the Millenium Pipeline, which currently transports 5.1 Bcf/d of gas from Independence, Steuben County, New York to Buena Vista, Rockland County New York.
The expansion project will provide incremental firm transportation capacity along Millenium 293 km mainline. Millenium will determine the extent of the capacity expansion on its analysis of the bids received during the open season.
The Millenium Pipeline is currently anchored by customers National Grid, Consolidated Edison of New York, Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corporation, and Columbia Gas Transmission.
Millenium Pipeline Company is a joint venture of NISource, National Grid and DTE Energy.
