The contract is for engineering, construction and installation of a 74 km, 12 inch diameter gas pipeline connecting Block 18 to a gas delivery pipeline in Block 3, in BP’s Greater Plutonio Development, located approximately 125 km offshore Angola.

Subsea 7 will also perform the tie-in of the pipelines, including the installation of three subsea manifold systems and a 1 km umbilical before commissioning the completed gas export system.

The company has said that engineering work will commence immediately. Offshore construction will commence in 2010 and is expected to be completed in 2011, using Subsea 7 pipelay and construction vessels.
