Swiber secures EPCIC contract for Indian pipelines

Swiber Holdings Limited, along with its consortium partner Lamprell, have secured an engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) contract for pipelines and platforms worth approximately $US117.5 million from a major Indian oil and gas operator.

As outlined in the contract, the consortium will carry out the full EPCIC scope of works. Swiber will be responsible for the transportation, installation and pipeline aspects of the project, while Lamprell will design and build two offshore wellhead platforms for the gas field development in India.

Work will commence immediately, with completion expected by mid-2011.
