Technip has been awarded a lump sum contract by Eni US Operating for the delivery of project management and engineering, fabrication and installation work for the Appaloosa Development Project in the Gulf of Mexico.
Under the contract Technip will deliver the engineering, fabrication and installation of a 34 km production flowline and associated infrastructure.
The development consists of the tie-back of the Appaloosa well, located in Mississippi Canyon, 268 km offshore Mobile, Alabama, at a depth of 860 m.
The flowline and riser is to be welded at Technip’s spoolbase located in Mobile and offshore installation is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter 2009.
