Statoil ASA has awarded pipe manufacturing company Wellstream contracts for the Snorre development, located offshore Norway, as part of a three-year framework agreement for the design and manufacture of flexible pipe products.
The contracts cover the supply of two large diameter dynamic export risers, and a large quantity of topside jumpers to act as strategic replacements.

The contracts will be executed by Wellstream’s UK facility in Newcastle upon Tyne, with delivery planned for late 2010 and 2011.
