Willbros to build Boreal pipeline

Willbros Canada, a unit of Willbros Group Incorporated, has been awarded a contract to construct the Williams Energy Canada Boreal Pipeline.

The new 12 inch diameter pipeline will deliver high vapour pressure liquids approximately 420 km from Williams’ Liquid Extraction Plant north of Fort McMurray to its Redwater Olefins Facility, northeast of Edmonton, Alberta.

Construction of the project will be carried out in three construction seasons, which will commence in late 2010, with completion expected between March and June 2012.
