BridgeTex pipeline announces open season for expanded capacity and new origin

BridgeTex Pipeline Company, LLC has announced an open season for commitments to assess customer interest for expanded capacity and a new origin in Midland, Texas.

BridgeTex – a joint venture (JV) between Magellan Midstream Partners and Plains All American Pipeline – delivers crude oil from Colorado City, Texas to the Houston Gulf Coast area.

It has recently increased capacity from 300,000 bbl/d to 400,000 bbl/d, with the potential to expand to 440,000 bbl/d in the future.

Magellan primarily transports, stores and distributes refined petroleum products and crude oil, while Plains owns and operates midstream energy infrastructure and provides logistics services for crude oil, natural gas liquids, natural gas and refined products.

Potential customers must submit binding commitments before 4 August 2017.
