TransCanada launches open season for Keystone XL
TransCanada has announced an open season for additional crude oil commitments for the Keystone XL Pipeline.
TransCanada is accepting binding commitments from interested parties for the transportation of 10,000 bbl/d capacity on the existing Keystone Pipeline – which runs between Hardisty, Alberta to Cushing, Oklahoma, and the US Gulf Coast – and 225,000 bbl/d capacity, utilising the proposed Keystone XL Pipeline.
The 4,324-km Keystone Pipeline has transported more than 1.5 billion bbl of crude oil since it began operations in 2010.
The new Keystone XL Pipeline would run from Hardisty, Alberta, to Steel City, Nebraska and deliver crude oil to the North American market.
Interested parties must submit binding commitments before 28 September 2017.
