Total E&P Nederland awards Bluestream IRM contract
Total E&P Nederland B.V. (Total EP) has awarded Bluestream a 12 month inspect repair and maintenance (IRM) contract for 36 of its offshore sites.
The scope of the IRM contract includes the subsea inspection of 29 platform structures, 7 free standing domes on the North Sea Dutch Continental Shelf, and the inspection of several difficult to access topside structures by Bluestream’s rope access team.
It will perform offshore inspection and cleaning operations in two phases this summer, in partnership with Vroon Offshore Services and its dynamic positioning class 2 vessel, VOS Sugar.
During phase one, Bluestream will use its inspection class Seaeye Tiger and compact work class Seaeye Cougar remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs); a team of qualified inspection divers will then be deployed during the second phase.
The contract was awarded after an intensive tendering process and is part of a long-term frame agreement.
“We have successfully supported Total EP’s operations for eight consecutive years now and are delighted to have been selected again to continue and strengthen this working relationship,” said Bluestream’s Adriaen Winckers.
“The contract demonstrates confidence in our ability to deliver challenging inspection projects.
“With input and in close cooperation with Total EP, we raised the bar of professionalism in our in-house inspection department considerably over the last few years, and by doing so we have put in a strong and fully dedicated foundation that manages the entire workflow from preparations through to final reporting.”
